23 Hours

23 hours

A site-specific digital art installation for the NHS Walk-In Centre at Knowle West Health Park, Bristol. The installation comprised an arrangement of twenty three LCD portrait 17” monitors placed on a wall in the Walk-In Centre. Twenty three plants, chosen because they grew locally and had health-giving properties, were photographed on film and then scanned to produce high resolution images. The images were then used to produce twenty three one-minute video sequences. Each one minute video was shown 60 times. This meant that it would take twenty three hours for the work to be shown in its entirety. The installation ran in the Walk-In Centre from 2004 to 2008.
